MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A BITTERLY COLD AIRMASS IS OVER THE AREA THIS MORNING...WITH
TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 15 TO 30 BELOW ZERO FOR MOST
LOCATIONS...WITH THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES ACROSS FAR NORTHERN
MINNESOTA. WEAK WINDS WILL STILL BE ENOUGH TO PRODUCE DANGEROUSLY
COLD WIND CHILL VALUES FROM 25 TO NEARLY 40 BELOW THIS MORNING. A
WIND CHILL ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND
NORTHWEST WISCONSIN THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. PLEASE READ THE LATEST
WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI
RIVER VALLEY EARLY NEXT WEEK. THE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO BRING A
WINTRY PRECIPITATION TO THE NORTHLAND. SNOW MAY MIX WITH OR CHANGE
TO SLEET OR FREEZING RAIN OVER INLAND PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
WISCONSIN...WITH ALL SNOW EXPECTED ELSEWHERE.

NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO SUBSIDE OVER WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR
THIS MORNING AS THE PRESSURE GRADIENT RELAXES AND DOWNSLOPE WINDS
GRADUALLY EASE. CONDITIONS WILL REMAIN HAZARDOUS TO SMALLER VESSELS
THIS MORNING ALONG THE NORTH SHORE. WINDS WILL BACK SOUTHWESTERLY
LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND WIND SPEEDS WILL INCREASE ONCE AGAIN THIS
EVENING AS A FAST-MOVING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE SLIDES EASTWARD
THROUGH NORTHWEST ONTARIO. CONDITIONS MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS TO SMALLER
VESSELS ONCE AGAIN TONIGHT. PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST MARINE
WEATHER MESSAGE AND NEARSHORE FORECAST FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

STRONG AND GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE EARLY SATURDAY
MORNING. THE WINDS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH AS THEY VEER WEST TO
NORTHWESTERLY DURING THE DAY.

A STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH THE UPPER MIDWEST MONDAY THROUGH
MID-WEEK. THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS
WISCONSIN AND INTO MICHIGAN TUESDAY EVENING. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
INCREASE ONCE AGAIN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY AND COULD RESULT IN
CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO SMALL CRAFT.
