  SILVER BAY HARBOR TO TWO HARBORS MN...
  TACONITE HARBOR TO SILVER BAY HARBOR MN...

AT 501 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG
THUNDERSTORM...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...SMALL
HAIL...AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO WATER LIGHTNING. THIS STRONG
THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 21 NM NORTHWEST OF MOUTH OF THE LITTLE
MARAIS RIVER...OR 24 NM NORTH OF SPLIT ROCK LIGHTHOUSE...MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 30 KNOTS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
BEAVER BAY...MOUTH OF THE POPLAR RIVER...TOFTE SAFE HARBOR...MOUTH OF
THE CROSS RIVER...SUGAR LOAF COVE...MOUTH OF THE LITTLE MARAIS RIVER
AND TOFTE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

INTENSE LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. IF CAUGHT ON THE OPEN
