SUPERIOR...

THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  DULUTH MN TO PORT WING WI...
  LAKE SUPERIOR WEST OF A LINE FROM SAXON HARBOR WI TO GRAND PORTAGE
  MN BEYOND 5NM...
  TWO HARBORS TO DULUTH MN...

AT 918 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE THE LEADING EDGE
OF A LARGE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM
FRENCH RIVER TO 8 NM EAST OF SUPERIOR HARBOR. THESE STORMS
WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 KNOTS.

STORMS WILL AFFECT ALL OF THE NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS OF SOUTHWEST
LAKE SUPERIOR SOUTHWEST OF A LINE FROM TWO HARBORS TO PORT WING
THROUGH AT LEAST 10 PM.  FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND 30 KNOT WIND GUSTS
CAN BE EXPECTED.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
BRULE POINT...DULUTH LIFT BRIDGE CHANNEL AND FRENCH RIVER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
