THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DULUTH HAS ISSUED A GALE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CST SATURDAY. THE SMALL
CRAFT ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST GALES TO 40 KNOTS...WITH A FEW STORM FORCE
  GUSTS TO 50 KNOTS. THE HIGHEST GUSTS ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE
  NORTH SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR...GENERALLY FROM GRAND MARAIS TO
  GRAND PORTAGE. THE WINDS WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE LATE IN THE
  NIGHT.

* WAVES...AS HIGH AS 10 TO 14 FEET...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE NORTH
  SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.

ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE HAZARDOUS WAVE CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT.
INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER
VESSELS SHOULD AVOID NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
