URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE

...STRONG EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS CONTINUE TODAY...

.AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE WESTERN DAKOTAS WILL BEGIN TO
WEAKEN TODAY. STRONG EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS OVER WESTERN LAKE
SUPERIOR WILL CONTINUE TODAY INTO TONIGHT. WINDS WILL EVENTUALLY
VEER SOUTHEAST OVER THE OPEN WATERS AND SOUTH SHORE...BUT SHOULD
REMAIN EAST TO NORTHEAST ALONG THE NORTH SHORE. THE LOW WILL
CONTINUE TO WEAKEN TUESDAY AND MOVE ACROSS MINNESOTA AND INTO
NORTHERN WISCONSIN. WINDS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH OVERNIGHT AND
TUESDAY AS THE LOW MOVES EAST.

VESSELS SHOULD AVOID NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURRING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.
