...GUSTY WINDS ALONG THE NORTH SHORE THIS MORNING...

generating strong and gusty northwest winds this morning.
Sustained winds between 30 and 35 mph, with gusts to near 50 mph,
have been observed at the Grand Marais Harbor. Winds diminish
quickly inland from the lake and the Cook County Airport station
has only reported wind gusts in the 25 to 30 mph range. The winds
should diminish later this morning as the drainage component
weakens.
