...AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN ST. LOUIS AND
NORTHWESTERN CARLTON COUNTIES...

At 331 PM CST, a thunderstorm was near Cromwell, or 15 miles east of
Big Sandy Lake, moving northeast at 40 mph.

Pea-size hail, heavy downpours, and occasional cloud to ground
lightning can be expected with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Cromwell, Wright, Prairie Lake, and Gowan.

The primary threat from these storms will be lightning and the
potential for enough pea size hail to cover the ground and roads. If
you are ice fishing on one of the area lakes, get off the lake and
seek shelter inside a sturdy building or a hard-topped vehicle to
stay safe from lightning. Stay away from trees.
