...MIXED PRECIPITATION OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA EARLY THIS MORNING...

At 2 AM, a mix of snow, rain, and freezing rain stretched from
Leader in Cass County and Aitkin, to Ely and the northern portions
of Duluth, to near Isabella in Lake County, and was moving east-
northeastward. A brief period of rain or freezing rain is possible
as precipitation begins, but should change over to snow within an
hour or two.

The precipitation will affect much of central and northeast
Minnesota through 4 AM, including Leader, Brainerd, Aitkin, Remer,
Jacobson, Grand Rapids, Floodwood, Alborn, Duluth, Hibbing,
Virginia, Cook, Tower, Ely, Isabella, and Eagle Mountain.

Anyone traveling this morning is encouraged to exercise caution.
The mixed precipitation may create slippery stretches on area
roads and highways. Remember, it`s better to be driving slow and
wish you were going faster than be driving fast and wish you were
going slower.
