...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT WEST CENTRAL AITKIN...
SOUTHERN CASS AND CROW WING COUNTIES...

At 223 AM CDT, an area of strong thunderstorms was near Pillager, or
10 miles west of Brainerd, moving northeast at 50 mph. More storms
were near Leader, also moving northeast at 50 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph, pea-size hail, heavy downpours, and
occasional cloud to ground lightning can be expected with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Brainerd, Baxter, Crosby, Breezy Point, Aitkin, Pequot Lakes,
Crosslake, Nisswa, Pine River, Emily, Ironton, Deerwood, Pillager,
Fifty Lakes, Cuyuna, Hackensack, Backus, Garrison, Poplar, and Fort
Ripley.

Seek shelter inside a sturdy building and away from windows until
these storms pass.
