...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM CDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN ST. LOUIS COUNTY...

At 442 PM CDT, a large area of strong to severe thunderstorms
continued to affect far northern St. Louis Counties, from Myrtle and
Elephant Lakes to Crane Lake, to the Canadian Border in the Boundary
Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.  All storms were moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Crane Lake, Buyck, Lac la Croix, Echo Lake, Lake Agnes, Loon Lake,
and Crooked Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building. Get off the water and stay away from trees if possible.
