...INTENSE SNOW SQUALLS ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE TONIGHT...

.VERY COLD AIR BLOWING ACROSS THE RELATIVELY WARMER WATERS OF
LAKE SUPERIOR WILL CONTINUE TO BRING LOCALLY HEAVY LAKE EFFECT
SNOW SHOWERS TO THE SOUTH SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR TONIGHT. THE SNOW
SQUALLS AND BLOWING SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO A QUARTER
MILE OR LESS AT TIMES...RESULTING IN SNOWFALL RATES OF AN INCH AN
HOUR OR A LITTLE BETTER OR TIMES. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL BE
ALONG THE GOGEBIC RANGE... FROM BIRCH HILL AND ODANAH TO HURLEY.
OTHER AREAS OF LOCALLY HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL FALL IN THE BAYFIELD
PENINSULA. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION COULD REACH UP TO 14 INCHES OR
EVEN A LITTLE MORE IN THE GILE...MONTREAL AND HURLEY AREA. ROAD
CONDITIONS WILL DETERIORATE FURTHER AS THE NIGHT WEARS ON...WITH TRAVEL
BECOMING HAZARDOUS DUE TO FALLING SNOW...BLOWING SNOW AND VERY LOW

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...8 TO 16 INCHES IN NORTHERN ASHLAND AND IRON
  COUNTIES. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE TOWARD GILE...
  MONTREAL AND HURLEY. GILE HAS ALREADY REPORTED 9.5 INCHES AS OF
  940 PM.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...VISIBILITIES WILL FALL TO LESS THAN A
  QUARTER MILE AT TIMES. NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL
  ALSO PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL DETERIORATE QUICKLY ALONG STATE
  HIGHWAYS 13 AND 77...AND ACROSS U.S. HIGHWAY 2. WISCONSIN DOT REPORTS
  HIGHWAYS 2...51 AND 13 WERE ALL SNOW COVERED.

INTENSITY AND SNOWFALL AMOUNTS. VISIBILITIES WILL VARY GREATLY
