URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...FRIGID WEATHER TONIGHT...

.TEMPERATURES WILL PLUMMET THROUGH TONIGHT...AND DROP TO 15 TO 30
DEGREES BELOW ZERO ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA BY DAWN FRIDAY. SOME
AREAS OF NORTHERN MINNESOTA COULD APPROACH 35 BELOW. THE WINDS
WILL RESULT IN WIDESPREAD WIND CHILLS OF 25 TO 40 BELOW ZERO
ACROSS THE NORTHLAND...WITH THE COLDEST CONDITIONS ACROSS
NORTHEAST MINNESOTA. THE WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO WEAKEN
OVERNIGHT...BECOMING VERY LIGHT BY DAWN. LIGHT SOUTHERLY WINDS
WILL DEVELOP ACROSS NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AFTER DAWN...SO THERE WILL
NOT BE MUCH IMPROVEMENT IN THE COLD CONDITIONS UNTIL LATE FRIDAY

* LOCATIONS...NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND THE TWIN PORTS AREA OF
  NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

* TIMING...THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...WEST TO NORTHWEST 5 TO 15 MPH ...BUT BECOMING VERY LIGHT
  BY DAWN FRIDAY MORNING. LIGHT SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP AFTER
  DAWN FRIDAY. STRONG WINDS WILL OCCUR ALONG THE NORTH SHORE
  THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS...WITH 15 TO 30 MPH SUSTAINED
  WINDS AND SOME GUSTS TO 45 MPH POSSIBLE.

* WIND CHILLS...WIDESPREAD 25 BELOW TO 35 BELOW ZERO. PARTS OF
  NORTHERN MINNESOTA WILL FLIRT WITH 40 BELOW ZERO EARLY FRIDAY.
  OBSERVATIONS AS OF 830 PM REVEAL MANY LOCATIONS WERE ALREADY
  EXPERIENCING WIND CHILL READINGS OF 25 BELOW TO 30 BELOW ZERO.

* IMPACTS...THE COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CAUSE FROSTBITE TO EXPOSED
  SKIN IN AS LITTLE AS 15 TO 30 MINUTES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND WINDS WILL
COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN FROST
BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. IF YOU
MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS...MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND GLOVES.
