URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS THE NORTHLAND LATER TODAY...

.SNOW WILL INCREASE RAPIDLY FROM SOUTH TO NORTH ACROSS THE REGION
TODAY. THE BEST CHANCE OF SNOWFALL WILL BE FROM MID AFTERNOON INTO
TUESDAY. THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD COULD SEE 3 TO 6 INCHES OF NEW
SNOW FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH MID MORNING TUESDAY. THE GREATEST
AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY BE ALONG THE HIGHER TERRAIN ADJACENT TO LAKE
SUPERIOR. IN ADDITION TO THE FALLING SNOW...STRENGTHENING WINDS
WILL BRING AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW OVERNIGHT. IF YOU
WILL BE DRIVING ALONG THE NORTH SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR
TONIGHT...BE SURE TO ALLOW SOME EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR
DESTINATION SAFELY.

WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS
EVENING TO 9 AM CST TUESDAY.

* LOCATIONS...THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD REGION...INCLUDING GRAND
  MARAIS...SILVER BAY...TWO HARBORS AND ISABELLA.

* TIMING...6 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 9 AM TUESDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES.

* VISIBILITIES...AS LOW AS A HALF MILE AT TIMES TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...SNOW WILL INCREASE RAPIDLY LATE TODAY AND DURING THE
  EVENING. THE RAPID SNOW ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED TO MAKE ROADS
  VERY SLIPPERY IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME.
