...SNOW OVER THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY
EVENING...

.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE UPPER MIDWEST SATURDAY
AND WILL BRING SNOW AND RAIN TO THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD LATE
TONIGHT AND THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. THERE COULD BE PERIODS OF
SOME COLD RAIN MIXED IN WITH THE SNOW. TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY
REMAIN COLD ENOUGH TO ALLOW ACCUMULATION OF ABOUT 2 TO 5 INCHES.
THE HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY BE IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DULUTH HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 PM
CDT SATURDAY.

* LOCATION...THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD...INCLUDING TWO
  HARBORS...SILVER BAY...GRAND MARAIS...AND GRAND PORTAGE.

* TIMING...LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. THE HEAVIER SNOW
  RATES AND RATES OF ACCUMULATION OCCUR AFTER DAWN SATURDAY
  MORNING THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON...THEN BEGIN TO DIMINISH
  LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 5 INCHES. THE HIGHER AMOUNTS WILL
  LIKELY BE IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...EAST AT 10 TO 20 MPH. THE WINDS WILL BE
  STRONGER NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR. VISIBILITY COULD OCCASIONALLY BE AS
  LOW AS ONE HALF OF A MILE.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL COULD BE DIFFICULT DUE TO SLIPPER ROADS FROM
  THE SNOW AND RAIN AND LOW VISIBILITY IN THE HEAVIER SNOW BANDS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT ACCUMULATING SNOW
WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS
AND REDUCED VISIBILITY...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. ALLOW
EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
