URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Winter storm to affect parts of the Northland Thursday night
through Friday night...

.A potential winter storm is forecast to affect Pine through Price
counties Thursday night through Friday night. The heaviest snow is
expected to fall between midnight and 6 am Friday where snowfall
rates may approach one inch per hour. Gusty winds will accompany
this system, especially late Thursday night through Friday night.
This may lead to some blowing snow and reduced visibilities.
The snow will be wet and may preclude any drifting.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH
LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm
Watch...which is in effect from Thursday evening through late
Friday night.

* LOCATIONS...Pine county east through Price county. This includes
  Hinckley, Siren, Hayward, Park Falls and Phillips.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...8 to 12 inches.

* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* VISIBILITIES...less than one half mile in the heavier snow.

* IMPACTS...The snow will affect travel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest
