URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...SNOW PERSISTING OVER NORTHWEST WISCONSIN INTO THIS EVENING...

.THE SNOWBELT AREAS OF NORTHWEST WISCONSIN ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE
OF LAKE SUPERIOR CAN EXPECT AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF
SNOW INTO EARLY EVENING. THE GREATEST STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL
BE OVER THE GOGEBIC RANGE OF FAR EASTERN ASHLAND AND IRON COUNTIES
AND THE HIGH TERRAIN IN NORTHERN BAYFIELD COUNTY. THE SNOW IS
EXPECTED TO GRADUALLY DIMINISH LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

* LOCATION...IRON AND ASHLAND COUNTIES.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL THROUGH EARLY EVENING
  OF UP TO 1 INCH IS POSSIBLE. SNOWFALL SPOTTERS HAVE REPORTED
  MORE THAN 8 INCHES IN NORTHEAST IRON COUNTY.

* WINDS...NORTH 5 TO 15 MPH.

* VISIBILITY...AS LOW AS ONE MILE AT TIMES IN OPEN AREAS.

* IMPACTS...THE WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REPORTED
  U.S. HIGHWAY 2...U.S. HIGHWAY 51...AND WI HIGHWAY 13 WERE SNOW
  COVERED OR HAD SLIPPERY STRETCHES.

  ACROSS BAYFIELD COUNTY WILL ALSO BE SNOW COVERED AND SLICK.
