...ICY TRAVEL CONDITIONS PERSIST THIS MORNING...

.ROADS ARE ICE COVERED ACROSS MOST OF THE NORTHLAND THIS MORNING.
THERE HAVE BEEN MANY REPORTS OF ACCIDENTS AND CARS IN DITCHES
ACROSS THE REGION. CREWS WERE TRYING TO GET ROAD CONDITIONS UNDER
CONTROL BUT IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME FOR ROAD SURFACES TO IMPROVE.
THE RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO END FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST...BUT
THE ROADS WILL TAKE A WHILE LONGER TO IMPROVE. BY MID TO LATE
MORNING...AS TEMPERATURES CLIMB THROUGH THE 30S AND PAVEMENT
TEMPERATURES WARM...CONDITIONS SHOULD QUICKLY IMPROVE.

AND ROAD CONDITIONS ARE BEING REPORTED AS GOOD. THEREFORE HAVE
CANCELLED THE ADVISORY IN CASS COUNTY.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...LESS THAN A TENTH OF AN INCH.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...LESS THAN AN INCH.

* IMPACTS...ROADS ARE VERY SLIPPERY ACROSS THE REGION. THE
  DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IN MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN
  REPORTS ICE COVERED ROADS. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS
  AND REPORTS OF CARS IN THE DITCH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR MIXED PRECIPITATION MEANS A MIXTURE
OF FREEZING RAIN...SNOW AND SLEET IS EXPECTED. SMALL
ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW AND ICE ARE EXPECTED ON UNTREATED ROADS AND
SIDEWALKS. ANYONE WITH TRAVEL PLANS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS. SLOW DOWN WHEN DRIVING AND ALLOW FOR EXTRA
STOPPING DISTANCE BECAUSE YOU MAY LOSE CONTROL OF YOUR VEHICLE IF
YOU TRY TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP QUICKLY.
