...LINGERING SNOW OVER NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND FAR NORTHWEST
WISCONSIN EARLY THIS MORNING...

.NORTHWEST WISCONSIN CAN EXPECT PERIODS OF ACCUMULATING SNOW
THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THERE WILL BE LINGERING SNOW TODAY BECAUSE OF
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES REGION. THE
LOW WILL BEGIN TO MOVE EAST OF THE GREAT LAKES THIS EVENING...BUT
AREAS NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR IN NORTHWEST WISCONSIN CAN EXPECT
ADDITIONAL SNOW TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS
WILL DEVELOP TONIGHT AND LINGER INTO WEDNESDAY BECAUSE OF COLD
NORTHERLY FLOW OVER WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR. THE GREATEST SNOWFALL
TOTALS ARE FORECAST FOR NORTHERN IRON COUNTY WHERE A TOTAL OF
7 TO 10 INCHES IS FORECAST TO FALL TODAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON. LESSER AMOUNTS...ABOUT 4 TO 7 INCHES...ARE FORECAST
FOR NORTHERN ASHLAND AND NORTHERN BAYFIELD COUNTIES. ALSO...THERE
WILL BE LINGERING SNOW OVER PARTS OF NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND FAR
NORTHWEST WISCONSIN EARLY THIS MORNING...WHICH COULD RESULT IN UP
TO ANOTHER COUPLE INCHES OF SNOW BY SUNRISE THIS MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS OF UP TO A COUPLE
  INCHES THIS PAST EVENING. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS COULD REACH 2 TO
  4 INCHES BY SUNRISE THIS MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH.

* WIND GUSTS...UP TO 25 MPH.

* VISIBILITY...AS LOW AS A HALF MILE AT TIMES IN OPEN AREAS.

* IMPACTS...REFREEZING OF SLUSH AND SNOW WILL MAKE FOR VERY
