...SNOW TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE OF LAKE
SUPERIOR...

.A SURGE OF ARCTIC AIR WILL DROP OVER THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES
REGION THROUGH THURSDAY. THE COMBINATION OF COLD AIR AND NORTHWEST
WINDS WILL PRODUCE LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE
OF LAKE SUPERIOR. THE HEAVIEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6
INCHES ARE EXPECTED IN THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE GOGEBIC RANGE OF
NORTHERN IRON COUNTY. THE SNOW WILL DIMINISH THROUGH THE DAY
THURSDAY.

* LOCATIONS...NORTHERN IRON COUNTY AND THE GOGEBIC RANGE.

* TIMING...FROM ROUGHLY 9 PM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE MORNING
  THURSDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS
  ALONG THE GOGEBIC RANGE.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH
  OVERNIGHT...BECOMING NORTH 10 TO 15 MPH THURSDAY.

* VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN A HALF MILE IN HEAVIER SNOW SHOWERS.

* IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY OVERNIGHT.

THIS WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
