URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...VERY COLD WIND CHILLS ACROSS NORTHERN MINNESOTA AGAIN
TONIGHT...

.COLD ARCTIC AIR WILL RE-INVADE THE NORTHLAND TONIGHT AS YET
ANOTHER EXPANSIVE AREA OF ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS SOUTHWARD
INTO THE REGION. THE COMBINATION OF AIR TEMPERATURES FROM 15 TO 25
BELOW ZERO AND 5 TO 10 MPH WINDS WILL RESULT IN VERY COLD AND
DANGEROUS WIND CHILL READINGS FOR MUCH OF TONIGHT THROUGH MID
MORNING WEDNESDAY.

* LOCATIONS...ALL OF NORTHERN MINNESOTA ROUGHLY ALONG AND NORTH
  OF THE U.S. HIGHWAY 2 CORRIDOR FROM THE TWIN PORTS TO CASS
  LAKE.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...GENERALLY BETWEEN 25 BELOW AND 35 BELOW
  ZERO. SOME READINGS NEAR 40 BELOW ACROSS PARTS OF LAKE AND
  COOK COUNTIES NEAR THE HIGHER TERRAIN ALONG THE NORTH SHORE.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 5 TO 10 MPH.

* WIND GUSTS...LOCAL GUSTS FROM 15 TO 20 MPH ALONG THE NORTH
  SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR.

* TEMPERATURES...10 BELOW TO 25 BELOW ZERO.

* FROSTBITE TIME...15 TO 25 MINUTES ON ANY EXPOSED SKIN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD ARCTIC AIR AND WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE VERY COLD WIND CHILLS. THIS COULD LEAD
TO HYPOTHERMIA AND EVENTUAL FROSTBITE IF EXPOSED SKIN IS NOT
PROTECTED. IF YOU MUST VENTURE OUTDOORS...MAKE SURE TO COVER AS
MUCH EXPOSED SKIN AS POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY YOUR HANDS AND FACE.
