URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...ACCUMULATING SNOW LINGERING EARLY THIS MORNING...

.IT WILL CONTINUE TO SNOW AND ACCUMULATE OVER PARTS OF NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND FAR NORTHWEST WISCONSIN. UP TO AN ADDITIONAL COUPLE
INCHES ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH DAWN THIS MORNING. THE SNOW WILL TAPER
OFF BY SUNRISE. GUSTY NORTH WINDS FROM 10 TO 20 MPH WILL USHER IN
COLDER AIR...WHICH WILL CAUSE LOCALIZED AREAS OF LOWER VISIBILITY
IN BLOWING SNOW IN OPEN AREAS. TEMPERATURES FALLING TO THE MID 20S
WILL CAUSE SLUSH AND SNOW ON AREA ROADS TO REFREEZE...RESULTING IN
POTENTIALLY VERY SLICK AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS IN MANY
AREAS WITH COMPACTED ICE ON MANY ROADWAYS.

  HARBORS... GRAND MARAIS...THE TWIN PORTS...HINCKLEY...AND
  INTERSTATE 35.

* TIMING...THROUGH 6 AM TUESDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS OF UP TO A COUPLE
  INCHES THIS PAST EVENING. TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS COULD REACH 2 TO 4
  INCHES BY SUNRISE THIS MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH.

* WIND GUSTS...UP TO 25 MPH.

* VISIBILITY...AS LOW AS A HALF MILE AT TIMES IN OPEN AREAS.

* IMPACTS...REFREEZING OF SLUSH AND SNOW WILL MAKE FOR VERY
  SLICK AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS IN MANY AREAS...
  ESPECIALLY SECONDARY AND UNTREATED ROADS...BRIDGES...
  OVERPASSES AND RAMPS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT ACCUMULATING SNOW
WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED AND
SLIPPERY ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY. SLOW DOWN WHEN DRIVING AND
ALLOW FOR EXTRA STOPPING DISTANCE BECAUSE YOU MAY LOSE CONTROL OF
YOUR VEHICLE IF YOU TRY TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP QUICKLY. ALLOW EXTRA
TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
