TUESDAY...AND COMBINE WITH A LONG NORTHWESTERLY FETCH ACROSS
WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR TO PRODUCE FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR
ACCUMULATING LAKE EFFECT SNOW ALONG THE SNOWBELT REGIONS OF

SNOW WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM MONDAY TO 4 PM CST
TUESDAY.

* LOCATION...NORTHERN SECTIONS OF ASHLAND AND IRON COUNTIES...
  INCLUDING MELLEN...HURLEY...UPSON AND GURNEY.

* TIMING...MONDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...GREATER THAN 6 INCHES IN NORTHERN ASHLAND
  COUNTY...AND GREATER THAN 9 INCHES IN NORTHERN IRON COUNTY.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...VISIBILITIES WILL FALL TO LESS THAN A HALF
  MILE AT TIMES. NORTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WILL ALSO
  PRODUCE DRIFTING SNOW.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL DETERIORATE QUICKLY
  MONDAY...ALONG STATE HIGHWAYS 13 AND 77...AND ACROSS U.S.
  HIGHWAY 2.

THIS LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS SNOW WILL
MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS. LAKE- EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS TYPICALLY
ALIGN THEMSELVES IN BANDS WITH A WIDE RANGE OF SNOWFALL INTENSITY.
