URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Duluth MN
549 PM CDT Thu Mar 23 2017

...FREEZING RAIN POSSIBLE TONIGHT ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF
NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN...

.A light wintry mix this evening into tonight will impact parts of
the Northland causing some road surfaces and sidewalks to become
slick. A mix of rain sleet snow and freezing rain is possible,
with temperatures right around freezing leading to highly variable
conditions. The slightly higher terrain of Minnesota`s north shore
and Arrowhead will be cool enough to support a period of freezing
rain this evening which could lead to some road surfaces...mainly
elevated roadways like bridges and overpasses...to become icy. In
northwest Wisconsin this possibility of freezing rain is also
expected to be localized...with the highest risk for ice
accumulation in Iron and Price counties. Those traveling this
evening and overnight should use extreme caution when driving
across bridges and overpasses.
