Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.7 inch trough currently over Georgian Bay will
exit east across southern Ontario and into Quebec by Wednesday
afternoon at 29.8 inches. Behind the trough, 30.2 inch ridging
builds southeast from northern Manitoba, reaching the Upper Great
Lakes by Wednesday night. Thursday, Lake Superior will be between
30.3 inch ridging over northern Ontario and a 29.8 inch low
approaching southern Lake Michigan. The ridge will remain overhead
Friday, but weaken Friday night to 30.0 inches while the low
approaches the Northeast U.S. at 29.7 inches. Overnight Friday
into Saturday, a 29.4 inch Alberta Clipper low will approach Lake
Superior, passing north of the lake by Sunday morning. By Sunday
evening,l a 30.4 inch high will be over Manitoba.
