Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.5 inch high pressure in the northern plains this
morning shifts south to the Central Plains while weakening to
30.3 inches by this evening. A 29.6 inch low pressure over
northeast Saskatchewan this morning will move southeast to
eastern Manitoba by this evening and to northern Lake Superior by
Tuesday morning while deepening to 29.4 inches. This low pressure
tracks across the lake on Tuesday and to eastern Ontario by
Tuesday evening as 30.6 inch high pressure moves into northern
Saskatchewan. with ridging building to at least 30.2 inches on
Wednesday. By Wednesday evening, 30.4 inch high pressure moves to
Lake Winnipeg and then builds into the upper Great Lakes on
Thursday. A weak 30.2 inch trough moves across Lake Superior on
Friday.
