OPEN LAKE FORECAST FOR LAKE SUPERIOR
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
935 AM EDT THU OCT 16 2014

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON LAKE SUPERIOR

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.5 INCH LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE SLOWLY THROUGH
SOUTHEAST ONTARIO TODAY AS A WEAK 29.7 INCH HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE
CROSSES LAKE SUPERIOR. ANOTHER 29.5 INCH LOW IN THE NORTHERN PLAINS
WILL THEN TRACK ACROSS THE UPPER LAKES TONIGHT BEFORE MERGING WITH
THE ONTARIO LOW ON FRIDAY...CAUSING THAT SYSTEM TO DEEPEN TO 29.1
INCHES WHILE IT MOVES TO NEAR JAMES BAY LATE IN THE DAY. AS THIS LOW
DRIFTS ACROSS NORTHERN QUEBEC THROUGH SUNDAY AND WEAKENS TO 29.4
INCHES...EXPECT A 30.3 INCH HIGH PRESSURE OVER SOUTH CENTRAL CANADA
TO DROP SOUTH INTO THE MID MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY. ON MONDAY...
THIS HIGH WILL MOVE INTO THE MID ATLANTIC STATES...ALLOWING A 29.8
INCH LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TO TRACK SOUTHEAST THROUGH THE UPPER GREAT
LAKES.
