Light winds this morning will turn northwesterly at 10 to 15 mph by midday today, with mixing heights rapidly increasing to 6000 to 7000 ft across much of southern Wisconsin as gusts increase to 20 to 25 mph during the mid afternoon hours. Areas within 10 miles of Lake Michigan are expected to see lower mixing heights around 5000 ft. Relative humidity values between 25 and 30 percent are expected across all of southern Wisconsin, with the best chances for falling below 25 percent across southwestern Wisconsin in the Wisconsin River Valley region. Southwesterly winds increase on Monday, with gusts up to 30 mph expected during the afternoon. Mixing heights will rise to 4000 to 5000 ft, with excellent smoke dispersal. RH values between 25 and 30 percent are expected with temperatures in the mid 60s. Showers will move into southwestern Wisconsin just before sunset, with increasing RH values thereafter. Showers will spread through southern Wisconsin overnight Monday, lingering through Tuesday.
