EARLY THIS AFTERNOON SKIES WERE SUNNY TO PARTLY CLOUDY OVER MUCH OF
THE STATE...WITH CLOUD COVER FOUND ALONG THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER.
A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING ACROSS NORTHEASTERN MINNESOTA.
AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WAS CENTERED NEAR WINNIPEG WITH A COOL
FRONT EXTENDING SOUTHWEST ACROSS EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA AND INTO
CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. WINDS WERE MAINLY SOUTHERLY AT 7 TO 15
MPH...WITH A FEW GUSTS TO NEAR 20 MPH. AT 2 PM TEMPERATURES RANGED
FROM THE LOW 60S NEAR GRAND MARAIS...TO THE UPPER 80S IN THE
RED RIVER VALLEY.

THE COLD FRONT WILL MOVE EAST INTO MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON.
THUNDERSTORMS MAY REDEVELOP OVER NORTHWEST MINNESOTA LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND THE STORMS OVER THE NORTHEAST WILL PERSIST THROUGH
EARLY EVENING. CLOUDS WILL SLOWLY BUILD ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF
THE STATE THIS AFTERNOON...WITH SKIES BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY TO
PARTLY SUNNY. THE THUNDERSTORM THREAT CONTINUES TONIGHT WITH THE
MAIN FOCUS REMAINING OVER NORTHERN MINNESOTA. LARGE HAIL AND GUSTY
WINDS ARE POSSIBLE...ALONG WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL. TEMPERATURES
WILL REACH THE UPPER 70S NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR...AND THE LOW 90S
WEST. LOWS TONIGHT WILL VARY FROM THE MIDDLE 60S NORTH...TO THE
MIDDLE 70S WEST CENTRAL.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY BE ONGOING SUNDAY MORNING
OVER NORTHERN AND PORTIONS OF WESTERN MINNESOTA. THERE IS A CHANCE
OF ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THROUGH EARLY EVENING WITH STRONG TO
SEVERE STORMS POSSIBLE. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 70S
NORTH...TO THE UPPER 80S SOUTH.
