LATE THIS MORNING...A DEVELOPING CLIPPER WAS LOCATED OVER WESTERN
NORTH DAKOTA...WITH A COLD FRONT EXTENDING EASTWARD ACROSS
NORTHERN MINNESOTA. SKIES WERE GENERALLY MOSTLY CLOUDY OVER
NORTHERN MINNESOTA AND CLEAR TO PARTLY CLOUDY OVER THE SOUTH.
A BROADER AREA OF CLOUD COVER WAS APPROACHING FROM THE EASTERN
DAKOTAS. SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS WERE FOUND OVER NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA. AT 11 AM...TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE MIDDLE 20S
NORTHEAST...TO THE UPPER 30S OVER THE SOUTH.

THE CLIPPER WILL STRENGTHEN AS IT MOVES SOUTHEAST INTO THE
CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BY SUNDAY MORNING. LIGHT RAIN WAS
FALLING ON THE WARM SIDE OF THE FRONT IN THE CENTRAL DAKOTAS THIS
MORNING...AND THAT PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO EXPAND FARTHER
EASTWARD THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. A WINTRY MIX OF
RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SNOW IS EXPECTED OVER WESTERN MINNESOTA
BEGINNING LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND ADVANCING INTO SOUTHERN
MINNESOTA OVERNIGHT. SNOW ACCUMULATION OF WESTERN AND SOUTHERN MINNESOTA
OF UP TO 4 INCHES IS POSSIBLE. TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN FAIRLY
STEADY IN THE NORTH THIS AFTERNOON IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER
20S...WITH HIGHS IN THE SOUTHWEST IN THE MIDDLE 40S. LOWS
OVERNIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE SINGLE FIGURES BELOW ZERO
NORTHEAST...TO THE LOW 30S SOUTHWEST.

LIGHT SNOW FROM THE DEPARTING CLIPPER WILL LINGER OVER SOUTHERN
AND SOUTHEASTERN MINNESOTA EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...WITH ANOTHER 1
OF ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE BY NOON. WITH TOTAL SNOWFALL FROM THE
CLIPPER REMAINING IN THE TRACE TO 4 INCH RANGE. A WEAK RIDGE OF
HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD INTO STATE BEHIND THE DEPARTING
CLIPPER...RESULTING IN A BRIEF PERIOD OF QUIET WEATHER AHEAD OF
THE NEXT CLIPPER APPROACHING FOR SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY. HIGHS ON
SUNDAY WILL TREND COOLER...FROM THE MIDDLE TEENS NORTHEAST...TO
THE LOW 30S SOUTHWEST.
