WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA

AS OF NOON ON MONDAY... A LOW PRESSURE CENTER WAS LOCATED IN THE
MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD... AND WAS DRAGGING A MASS OF CLOUDS...
DRIZZLE... AND RAIN MIXING WITH SNOW ACROSS NORTHWEST PORTIONS OF
THE STATE. CLOUDS ARE BEGINNING TO BREAK UP SLIGHTLY ACROSS THE
STATE... SO SOME PEAKS OF SUN WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT FEW
HOURS. SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION WAS OBSERVED OVER THIS PAST
WEEKEND... WITH UP TO 2 INCHES OF BENEFICIAL RAINFALL ACROSS
MINNESOTA WHICH HOPEFULLY BROUGHT SOME RELIEF TO DROUGHT STRICKEN
AREAS. MORNING LOWS WERE WELL BELOW NORMAL WITH THE PASSAGE OF THE
COLD FRONT... AND IN THE 30S AND 40S.

SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO PIVOT ACROSS NORTHERN MINNESOTA
TODAY...SINKING SLIGHTLY SOUTHWARD TO THE CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE
AS WELL. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE QUITE COLD... AVERAGING 30
DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 30S IN THE
NORTH TO THE UPPER 40S SOUTH.

LOWS TONIGHT WILL DIP INTO THE 20S AND 30S...WHICH WILL MEAN THE
POTENTIAL FOR FROST AND FREEZES ACROSS THE STATE. THE REST OF THE
WEEK WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY. TEMPERATURES WILL GRADUALLY WARM
THROUGH THE WEEK...WITH HIGHS IN THE 60S NEARLY STATEWIDE BY
THURSDAY.
