...LATE SEASON SNOW FOR THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS THROUGH FRIDAY...

An unseasonably cool weather system will impact NM tonight and
Friday with several inches of snow possible in the northern high
terrain above 9,000 feet. Rain and high elevation snow showers
currently initiating across the northern mountains will increase
in coverage tonight and early Friday. Snowfall amounts of 2 to 5
inches are possible with locally higher amounts possible above
10,000 feet.

Folks planning recreation activities in the higher terrain of the
Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the San Juan/Tusas Mountains should
be prepared for accumulating snowfall and cold temperatures. Low
visibility is also expected with localized slick travel possible
through Bobcat Pass and portions of U.S. 64 near Hopewell Lake.
