.DISCUSSION...

Dry and mild conditions are expected across the area today and
tonight. Light winds this morning will become more southeasterly
across central South Dakota this afternoon, and northeasterly across
eastern South Dakota. Wind speeds will generally be less than 10
mph. Minimum relative humidity values this afternoon will be in the
25 to 35 percent range.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Tuesday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
