...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern Virginia, including
  the following counties, in east central Virginia, Essex and
  Richmond. In eastern Virginia, Northumberland.

* WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 611 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in the last hour.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible
    over the area during the next 90 minutes.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Tappahannock, Warsaw, Robley, Callao, Farnham, Haynesville,
    Heathsville, Dunnsville, Mulch, Village, Emmerton, Moon
    Corner, Tidewater, Dodlyt, Lara, Lottsburg, Kennard,
    Wellford, Howland and Middletons Corner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
