JULY SAW SEVERAL STRINGS OF ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES DURING THE
BEGINNING AND MIDDLE OF THE MONTH WITH READINGS TOPPING OUT MANY
TIMES IN THE MIDDLE 90S. IN STARK CONTRAST....THE END OF THE MONTH
WITNESSED NEAR RECORD COLD TEMPERATURES WITH HIGHS ONLY IN THE UPPER
60S TO LOWER 70S AND LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S TO LOW 50S.

ALMOST THREE QUARTERS OF WATERLOO`S MONTHLY RAINFALL FELL AS A
RESULT OF A VERY SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORM COMPLEX ON JULY 25. THE
3.09 INCHES THAT FELL EASILY ECLIPSED THE OLD RAINFALL RECORD FOR
THAT DATE OF 1.5 INCHES. IN THE END...THE RAINFALL FOR JULY WAS
ALMOST NINE TENTHS OF AN INCH BELOW NORMAL.
