FEBRUARY 2014 WILL BE REMEMBERED AS A MUCH COLDER AND SNOWIER MONTH
THAN NORMAL. FEBRUARY WILL GO INTO THE RECORD BOOKS AS THE 3RD
COLDEST FEBRUARY ON RECORD WITH AN AVERAGE MONTHLY TEMPERATURE OF
1.4 DEGREES BELOW ZERO. THIS IS THE 4TH TIME THE AVERAGE MONTHLY
TEMPERATURE FOR FEBRUARY WAS BELOW ZERO. FEBRUARY WAS ALSO THE 2ND
SNOWIEST FEBRUARY ON RECORD WITH 20.5 INCHES. THE 4.7 INCHES THAT
FELL ON THE 17TH WAS THE SNOWIEST FOR THAT PARTICULAR DAY ON RECORD.
THERE WERE 23 DAYS WHEN THE HIGH TEMPERATURE NEVER REACHED THE
FREEZING MARK. THERE WERE 16 DAYS THE LOW TEMPERATURE DROPPED TO 0
OR BELOW.
