...The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a
Hydrologic Outlook for potential river flooding...for all or
portions of the following rivers in Iowa...Cedar River...

  Affecting the following counties in Iowa...Black Hawk

.Heavy rains early this morning up in northern Iowa may result in the Cedar
River at Cedar Falls rising to above flood stage later in the week.

This Hydrologic Outlook is based on both observed and forecast
precipitation. The rivers may respond differently than indicated...
if actual precipitation is greater or less than expected.

Later statements...possibly warnings...will be issued as additional
information becomes available.

Outlook information for
  The Cedar River at Cedar Falls...or From the West Fork Cedar
  River...to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo city limits.
* At 8:45 AM Monday the stage was 83.2 feet...or 4.8 feet below
  Flood Stage.
* Flood Stage is 88.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is possible.
* Forecast...the river may rise to Flood Stage Wednesday evening. The
  river may then rise to 89.0 feet...or 1.0 foot above Flood
  Stage...Thursday evening. The river may go below Flood Stage
  midday Friday.
* Impact...At  89.0 feet...Water is at the edge of 1712 Cottage Row
  Road. The northeast corner of Tourist Park floods.
