  THE IOWA RIVER NEAR ROWAN...OR FROM BELMOND...TO DOWS.
* AT 3:00 AM THURSDAY THE STAGE WAS 10.5 FEET...OR 2.0 FEET BELOW
  FLOOD STAGE.
* FLOOD STAGE IS 12.5 FEET.
* NO FLOODING IS OCCURRING AND MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE.
* FORECAST...THE RIVER MAY RISE TO FLOOD STAGE EARLY SATURDAY
  MORNING. THE RIVER MAY THEN RISE TO 13.3 FEET...OR 0.8 FEET ABOVE
  FLOOD STAGE...SATURDAY EVENING. THE RIVER MAY GO BELOW FLOOD STAGE
  MONDAY AFTERNOON. THIS FORECAST IS HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON HOW MUCH RAIN
  OCCURS IN THE NEXT 12 HOURS OVER THE AREA AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO
  CHANGE.
