.THUNDERSTORMS ARE GRADUALLY ENDING FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST
BUT WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS OVER THE PORTIONS OF THE
CENTRAL AND SOUTH. STORMS HAVE PRODUCED 2 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN
OVER PORTIONS OF THE AREA WITH AN ADDITIONAL INCH POSSIBLE OVER
THE SOUTHEAST.

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL IOWA AND NORTHEAST
IOWA HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE HEAVY RAINFALL THAT HAD BEEN
OCCURRING OVER THE REGION IS NOW ENDING...AND LITTLE IF ANY
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED IN THESE AREAS OVERNIGHT.

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA...SOUTHEAST IOWA AND SOUTHWEST
  IOWA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA...
   APPANOOSE...CLARKE...DECATUR...LUCAS...MADISON...MAHASKA...
  MARION...MONROE...RINGGOLD...UNION...WARREN AND WAYNE. IN
  SOUTHEAST IOWA...DAVIS AND WAPELLO. IN SOUTHWEST IOWA...ADAMS
  AND TAYLOR.

* UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING

* WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES HAVE OCCURRED SOUTH
  OF INTERSTATE 80 WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 5 INCHES
  LIKELY. LOWER AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES HAVE OCCURRED NORTH OF
  THIS REGION AND THE THREAT FOR FLASH FLOODING OVER THE NORTH IS
  DIMINISHING OR HAS DIMINISHED EARLY THIS MORNING.

* FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REGION. SIGNIFICANT
  PONDING IN URBAN AREAS IS LIKELY. IN ADDITION...SMALL STREAMS
  MAY RISE ABOVE THEIR BANKS AND CAUSE FLOODING OF LOW LYING
  AREAS INCLUDING ROADWAYS. FLASH FLOODING AT NIGHT IS EXTREMELY
  DANGEROUS. TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
