THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF CENTRAL IOWA...SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA...SOUTHEAST IOWA
  AND SOUTHWEST IOWA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN
  CENTRAL IOWA...JASPER...MARSHALL...POLK...POWESHIEK AND TAMA.
  IN SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA...APPANOOSE...CLARKE...DECATUR...LUCAS...
   MADISON...MAHASKA...MARION...MONROE...RINGGOLD...UNION...
  WARREN AND WAYNE. IN SOUTHEAST IOWA...DAVIS AND WAPELLO. IN
  SOUTHWEST IOWA...TAYLOR.

* UNTIL 7 AM CDT WEDNESDAY

* THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINS HAVE ALREADY PRODUCED RAINFALL
  AMOUNTS OVER TWO INCHES ACROSS PORTIONS OF MADISON...WARREN AND
  MARION COUNTIES RESULTING IN FULL DITCHES AND WATER FLOWING OUT
  OF FIELDS. ADDITIONAL STORMS ARE FORMING ALONG A WESTERN IOWA
  FRONTAL BOUNDARY AND COULD PRODUCE MORE HEAVY RAINS OVER MUCH
  OF THE WATCH AREA THIS EVENING.

* AREA SOILS ARE ALREADY SATURATED FROM PREVIOUS HEAVY RAINFALL.
  ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL COULD LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING WITH
  RAPID RISES IN SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
