NORTHEASTERN MADISON...POLK...NORTHERN WARREN AND EASTERN DALLAS
COUNTIES...

AT 241 PM CDT...TRAINED WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED THUNDERSTORMS
PRODUCED HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNING AREA.  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2
TO 5 INCHES HAVE BEEN COMMON OVER THE AREA. SIGNIFICANT PONDING AND
AREAS OF FLASH FLOODING ARE OCCURRING. THUNDERSTORMS ARE BEGINNING
TO END FROM THE NORTHWEST.

DES MOINES...WEST DES MOINES...ANKENY...URBANDALE...JOHNSTON...
CLIVE...ALTOONA...WAUKEE...NORWALK...PLEASANT HILL...GRIMES...
PERRY...ADEL...WINDSOR HEIGHTS...CARLISLE...BONDURANT...POLK CITY...
SAYLORVILLE...MITCHELLVILLE AND DALLAS CENTER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES
AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
