.DISCUSSION...

Stratus and fog will ooze into southern Iowa this morning with
high humidities and low mixing levels at ignition time. The fog
and stratus should lift toward midday however with mixing levels
increasing. Humidity levels will remain seasonally high into the
afternoon however.

.TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Mostly sunny (35-45 percent). Areas of fog
                    early in the morning.
Max temperature.....Around 55.
Min humidity........38 percent.
Eye level winds.....Southeast winds 5 to 13 mph.
Wind (20 ft)........Southeast winds 5 to 13 mph.
Mixing height.......300-2000 ft AGL increasing to 2500-3600 ft AGL
                    in the afternoon, then decreasing to 1400 ft
                    AGL late in the afternoon.
Transport winds.....South 6 to 14 mph shifting to the southeast 16
                    to 21 mph in the afternoon.
Haines Index........4 to 5 or low potential for large plume
                    dominated fire growth to or moderate potential
                    for large plume dominated fire growth.
