Spot Forecast for Kirke Woods...Iowa DNR
National Weather Service Des Moines IA
413 AM CDT Wed Apr 24 2024

Forecast is based on ignition time of 0900 CDT on April 24.
If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather
Service.

An initial observation at ignition and a mid burn observation are required.

Please relay them to the National Weather Service for each prescribed burn.

.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions are expected today as high pressure continues
to push into the region, with mostly sunny skies. Winds will
overall be light, starting out from the north/northeast and
gradually shifting southeasterly into the evening. Minimum RHs are
expected to start out in the 60s before falling into the low 30s
this afternoon. The light winds, as well as increasing greenup
however will limit the potential for fire weather concerns today.
