A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the area for freezing
rain and ice accumulations this morning. Please refer to the
National Weather Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for
further details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

There is another chance for freezing rain Thursday afternoon into
Thursday night across central and southern Iowa. Light ice
accumulations will be possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed, however icing reports and
reports any storm related damage would be appreciated.

A few non-severe thunderstorms will be possible this morning along
with the potential for some light icing by this afternoon before
the precipitation ends.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

There is another chance for freezing rain Thursday afternoon into
Thursday night across southern Iowa. Light ice accumulations will
be possible.

Spotter activation will not be needed, however icing reports would
be appreciated.

wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero tonight.

There is chance for snow and light freezing rain on Thursday
afternoon into Thursday night. Some light snow and ice
accumulations will be possible.
