.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the area from Sunday evening
through Monday afternoon. Please refer to the National Weather
Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

River ice jams may also occur early next week due to warming
temperatures today and Saturday along with additional expected
rainfall Sunday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed but reports of snowfall and
ice accrual would be appreciated.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

A wintery mix of precipitation is expected Sunday through Monday.
Ice accrual is expected to be less than a tenth of an inch and
snowfall is expected to be between 1 and 3 inches.

Strong wind is likely Monday which will adversely impact travel
even further.

River ice jams may also occur early next week due to warming
temperatures today and Saturday along with additional expected
rainfall Sunday.
