This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Isolated thunderstorms are possible across southern Iowa this
afternoon. A storm or two could become strong to severe and
produce damaging wind gusts and large hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Periods of evening thunderstorms will be possible across the area
Tuesday through Friday. Timing and location of the greatest threat
for storms are still unclear at this time but the severe threat
would primarily be damaging wind and large hail.

Excessive heat is possible Tuesday through Thursday with Wednesday
being the hottest, primarily along and south of Highway 20. Heat
index values in these locations may reach around 100 Tuesday and
Thursday and 105 on Wednesday.
