This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the area today. Please
refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Bitter cold wind chills will occur over portions of northern Iowa
tonight. Wind chill values will drop to 20 to 30 below zero.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A system will arrive late Sunday and Sunday night and will bring
light snow and gusty northwest winds to the area.

Bitter cold temperatures and wind chills are expected to occur
over portions of northern Iowa from Saturday night into next
Tuesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed, but snow amounts and
visibility reports will be greatly appreciated. Please submit snow
amounts and visibility reports.
