.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS LOOK TO CONTINUE OVER NORTHERN IOWA THROUGH MUCH OF
THE MORNING HOURS TODAY. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE AND
MAY EXACERBATE THE ONGOING FLOODING. THE SHELL ROCK...CEDAR...AND
WINNEBAGO RIVER BASINS CONTINUE TO REMAIN IN FLOOD AT MULTIPLE
LOCATIONS. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA
THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON. PLEASE REFER TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE WEBSITE AT WEATHER.GOV/DESMOINES FOR FURTHER DETAILS ON
THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH AND LATEST RIVER STAGES AND FORECASTS.

ANOTHER ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS IS FORECAST SATURDAY NIGHT INTO
SUNDAY MORNING. HEAVY RAIN IS LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS AND MAY
LEAD TO ADDITIONAL FLOODING OVER NORTHERN IOWA. THE SEVERE
WEATHER THREAT REMAINS LOW AT THIS TIME.
