This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Thunderstorms will be ongoing through the morning hours and again
move through the region later this afternoon through tonight. Some
of the storms may be severe with damaging thunderstorm winds and
large hail this afternoon and tonight. A isolated tornado may also
occur with thunderstorms later this afternoon through tonight.
Locally heavy rainfall may lead to urban street flooding and
rises on small streams and creeks with the potential for flash
flooding.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the area through Saturday
morning.  Please refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Additional thunderstorms are possible by late Wednesday and
Thursday.

Spotter activation may be needed late today and tonight.

An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the area through
Saturday. Please refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible late today and this
evening. A few of the storms may be severe with large hail and
damaging thunderstorm winds the main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect for the area through
Saturday. Please refer to the National Weather Service website at
weather.gov/desmoines for further details.

A few thunderstorms are possible Saturday mainly east of I35,
then again around Wednesday night. A few severe storms may be
possible.
