* TIMING...EXCEPT FOR ONLY MODERATE RELIEF TONIGHT...WE WILL BE
  BACK IN THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY TOMORROW. THE OPPRESSIVE HEAT AND
  HUMIDITY WILL BE FELT ACROSS ALL OF CENTRAL IOWA BUT WILL BE
  MOST PRONOUNCED SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 30 ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND
  EVENING.

* TEMPERATURE...TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN IN THE UPPER 80S TO
  LOWER 90S INTO THE EARLY EVENING...WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES
  HOLDING IN THE UPPER 90S TO LOWER 100S. THERE WILL BE SOME
  BREAK OVERNIGHT...HOWEVER ON TUESDAY TEMPERATURES WILL PEAK IN
  THE UPPER 80S NORTH TO MID 90S CENTRAL AND SOUTH...WITH HEAT
  INDEX VALUES APPROACHING 100 OVER THE NORTH...AROUND 105 OVER
  THE CENTRAL THIRD...AND APPROACHING 110 OVER THE SOUTH THIRD
  OF IOWA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS
EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY
WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE
POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED
ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE SUN...AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND
NEIGHBORS.

TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS...IF YOU WORK OR SPEND TIME OUTSIDE. WHEN
POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY MORNING OR
EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION AND HEAT STROKE. WEAR
LIGHT WEIGHT AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING WHEN POSSIBLE AND DRINK
