SUNRISE...

.AREAS OF DENSE FOG HAVE DEVELOPED ACROSS CENTRAL IOWA. VISIBILITY
HAS DROPPED TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES AT SOME LOCATIONS. THE FOG IS
PATCHY IN SOME AREAS AND MORE WIDESPREAD IN OTHERS. MOTORISTS ARE
ADVISED TO USE EXTRA CAUTION EARLY THIS SATURDAY MORNING...MAINLY
THROUGH SUNRISE. THE FOG WILL BE LIFTING THROUGH THE MORNING
HOURS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING.

* VISIBILITY...DOWN TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS IN AREAS OF FOG.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL MAY BE SLOW AT TIMES DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITY.
  POCKETS OF DENSE FOG WILL APPEAR QUICKLY WHILE OTHER AREAS MAY
  BE LESS FOGGY. BE AWARE OF SUDDEN DECREASES IN VISIBILITY AND
  DRIVE ACCORDINGLY. BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS NEAR INTERSECTIONS AND
  RAILROAD CROSSINGS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...
USE YOUR LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD
OF YOU. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS NEAR INTERSECTIONS AND RAILROAD
CROSSINGS IN AREAS OF DENSE FOG AS ONCOMING TRAINS AND VEHICLES
MAY BE HIDDEN BY THE FOG.
