...NOAA WEATHER RADIO WNG-668 AT DENISON IS OFF THE AIR...

The NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter WNG-668 at Denison Iowa is off the
air due to a communications or hardware failure. Technicians are
already at the point of failure but there is no estimated restore
time. The outage is also affecting long distance phone traffic
into Crawford County but not traffic out of Crawford County to
other locations.

The Denison NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts on Channel 7...or a
frequency of 162.550 MHz...and services the following counties in
Iowa...Carroll...Crawford...Ida...Monona...Sac...and Shelby.

Neighboring transmitters that service some of these counties include
WXL-62 at Sioux City broadcasting on Channel 4 or 162.475 MHz...KWN-
47 at Storm Lake broadcasting on Channel 3 or 162.450 MHz...KZZ-51 at
Carroll broadcasting on Channel 2 or 162.425 MHz...and KZZ-52 at
Hancock broadcasting on Channel 6 or 162.525 MHz.
