AT 428 AM CDT...VERY HEAVY RAIN WAS OCCURRING NEAR POLK CITY
AND ANKENY.  NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN JOHNSTON
REPORTED 1.69 INCHES OF RAINFALL OVER THE PAST 50 MINUTES
...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

ANKENY...ALTOONA...POLK CITY AND ELKHART CAN EXPECTED VERY HEAVY
RAINS THROUGH 515 AM WITH RATES UP TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR.  THIS
WILL PRODUCE PONDING ON ROADS AND PRODUCE QUICK RISES ON AREA
STREAMS.
